KCFAPI Board attends annual retreat
Manila, March 1, 2011—The Board of Directors and officers of the Knights of Columbus Fraternal Association of the Philippines, Inc., (KCFAPI) gathered for an annual retreat at a hideaway in Nasugbu, Batangas on February 25-26, 2011.
Facilitated by Msgr. Pedro Quitorio, Chaplain of KCFAPI, the retreat was conducted in preparation for the season of lent.
The spirituality of Fr. George J. Willmann, a Jesuit priest who founded KCFAPI in 1958, was the central theme of the retreat.
Led by former chief justice and KCFAPI Chairman Hilario G. Davide, the members of the board who attended the reatreat were: SK Alon L. Tan, President; SK Guillermo N. Hernandez, treasurer; SK Ramon E. Rodrigo, secretary; SK Dionisio R. Esteban, Jr., trustee; SK Sofronio R. Cruz, trustee; SK Emiliano R. Deleverio, trustee; and SK Hospicio T. Suralta, trustee.
Several officers of KCFAPI were also in attendance. Among them were: Ma. Theresa G. Curia, executive vice president; Joseph P. Teodoro, VP for Fraternal Benefits Group; Mary Magdalene G. Flores, VP for finance; Angelito Bala, AVP for actuarial & customer relations group; Ronulfo Antero G. Infante, Senior Manager, management information system; Rizal V. Katalbas, Jr., manager of legal services.
After the retreat, the members of the board strengthened their commitment to spread the spirituality of their founder, Fr. George J. Willmann, SJ, not only among the members of the Knights of Columbus in the Philippines but most especially among the lay faithful. (KCFAPI News)
